Ellington's Erin Hayes placed second at the Elks National Hoop Shoot New England Regional Free Throw Championships on March 23-25 in Portland Maine.

Hayes finished runner up to Emily Haskell of North Attleboro, MA. Haskell made 22 of 25 attempts in the finals while Hayes finished with 20. The two scores were the highest for all three divisions at the girls championships.
